February brought a much needed visit from Papa John and Aunt CoCo. They brought with them love, free babysitting, and snow. That's right, snow. Six inches to be exact. I will repeat. JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA RECEIVED SIX INCHES OF ACCUMULATING SNOW LAST WEEKEND! I remember wondering if I would ever need a winter coat when I moved down here. I guess I got my answer. Needless to say, we had a great time and enjoyed many indoor activities. Some of the highlights were:

Going to McKenna's Valentine's Day party at school with CoCo.
Going to the Gym and Laundromat with Papa.
Going to IHOP.
All of the free babysitting.
A date night with my hubby.
Watching CoCo and McKenna frost brownies.
Watching Papa and Brady watch John Deere clips on YouTube (Brady can now say combine.)
Our Super Bowl party.
Patrick getting to take Papa and Coco to the Air Station.
Just visiting and catching up in general.

Anyway, thanks for coming to see us Papa and Coco! We love you very much!

On a side note: Brady gave my Aunt Carol the nickname Aunt CoCo. He calls his current state of residence North CoColina. Hilarious! Tell me that boy isn't smart!

Kane's First Word

Posted by Picasa

Kaney's first word was DaDa . Go figure. It's funny how a baby's first word reflects his/her personality.

McKenna said bird first. She still is my little chatterbox.
Brady said MaMa first. He will always be a mama's boy.
I guess we know whose boy Kaney's going to be.

Making Brownies

I know that the FDA is strongly against consuming the raw eggs in batter. However, Rocky did it. If it's good enough for Sylvester Stallone, it's good enough for my kids.
