My Men

The Knapps, a.k.a The Tanks
We had a total blast at Mike's Farm today. It's in Back Swamp, NC. It has a pumpkin patch, tree farm, petting zoo, gift shop, and restaurant. It was so fun. Here's a replay of the events.
1.) We arrived at Mike's Farm shortly after it opened. We loaded up the kids into the double stroller and I pushed it over a huge pile of horse shit. Nice.
2.) We fed and petted a mule. (You have not lived until you've been licked by a mule named Pedro.)
3.) We waited in line for ten minutes to use the only restroom. We discovered that a boy dressed up like a scarecrow weighs the pumpkins.
4.) McKenna decided she is absolutely terrified of scarecrows. (She kept screaming, "Don't let him come here. Tell him I'm shy, Mommy!")
5.) We finally got our turn to use the restroom. Bubby had crapped everywhere. I knew I was going to be awhile, so I let the women behind me take her little boy in with Bubby and I. The little boy freaked out and said, "That Lady's gonna look at my wiener." I tried to convince him that I wouldn't look at his wiener, but he wasn't buying it. So Bubby had his pants changed while the little boy screamed his head off.
6.) We went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. It was such a cool experience with the kids!McKenna had a blast picking out pumpkins.
7.) Daddy paid for the pumpkins and bought fudge while I took the kids tho the petting zoo.
The zoo had sheep, chickens, rams, goats, a goose, and a peacock. While we were looking at the peacock, the goose honked so loud that it brought Bubby to tears. He now has fear of large birds.
8.) I tried to figure out how to shield my kids from scarecrows and large birds.
9.) We loaded up and went home.
It doesn't get any better than that!

Once again: great minds. We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday, too! We really do live parallel lives, don't we??? FREAKY. Despite all the scarring, it looks like ya'll (are you saying that yet??) had fun! :)
Brady is looking at his dad and thinking ("You want me to do what? or Whatcha talkin' bout Dad? or You have some really long nose hairs!") Looks like everyone was having a good time-except for that phobia Brady is developing--birds???, and Minnie afraid of scarecrows??? Poor kids--wait until Santa shows up LOL.
Looks like a great time! The pic of the four of you is beautiful. I thought Mandy & Patrick had long eyelashes but I think your kids Kim that the prize. Bubby's are unreal. WOW Love ya'll.
Kim you and Mandy most definitely think alike! Looks like everyone had a great time despite the birds and scarecrows. It will be interesting to see how they handle halloween this year. Love the family picture.. XOXOX
The picture of Patrick and Brady looking at each other is priceless. Brady definately is saying-what you talkin' bout man?
I love the little pumpkin that McKenna chose-just like her-a little punkin. Can't wait to see the kids in their costumes. I guess wherever you take the kids there is bound to be at least one trauma-all part of the growing process. Love and miss "ya'll".
The picture of Brady looking at this Daddy......now that expression on Brady's face takes me back to when PVK was a baby. Only PVK had towhead blond hair.
Love and miss you lots.
