Southern Living

We had our first snake of the season in our backyard today. It was hanging out by the sandbox. Judging by its colors, it was a baby cottonmouth. How delightfu! I guess we'll have to start wearing our shoes outside again.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

This pic of my boys and I is symbolic of the chaos of being a mother of three. Insane for sure, but worth every single second. Being a mommy is the most important thing that I will ever do.

Lizard Love

The kids and I were outside playing the other day and I noticed McKenna inspecting the lizards that hang out on our fence. She got real upset and ran over to me.

M: Mom, Mom that boy lizard is eating that girl lizard.
Me: What? (I walk over to the lizards. After further inspection, it was apparent that the lizards could use a little privacy.)
Me: Oh Sis, he's not eating her.
M: What's he doing, then?
Me: Oh, they're just snuggling.
M: Aww, that is so sweet!

I wonder how many more years until she figures out what "snuggling" is?

Kane is 9 Months Old Today!

To my sweet Kaney Vernon,

I can't believe you are 9 months old today! It seems like just yesterday you and I were hanging out in the hospital together, enjoying some alone time and hospital food. Now, you are almost a year old! Time sure flies by fast. Mommy loves you so very much and thinks to herself how blessed she is to have you.

Mommy loves you bunches and bunches forever and ever because...

You are the sweetest baby alive.
You charm everyone.
You have a smile for everyone.
You love the ladies and know how to work your eyes and dimples.
You are a great sleeper! Thank you Kaney!
You love the beach. You are truly a Knapp.
You adore your bro and Sissy. Your second word was Tee Tee(Sissy).
You love fart noises. You think they are absolutely hysterical!
You love to be outside.
You are the best kisser ever!
You sing to yourself every morning in your crib.
You love your Daddy! Absolutely love him. You light up at the mere sight of him.
You are always happy. You even smile when you cry.

Happy Birthday my sweet baby boy!

An Adventure the Griswalds Would Envy

Disclaimer: I am horrible at taking pictures. This is due to pure laziness. Anyway, these pictures did not do the trip justice. I promise that Kane was there too, he was always behind the lens with me.

The last time I got my hair done, (judging by my roots I would say it was about four months ago)my stylist told me I needed to take the kids to Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. So I booked a room at the Hampton Inn over Easter, Patrick took off work, and we were on our way.

We had an absolute amazing time! We went to the amusement park, Ripley's Aquarium, the Outlet Mall, Margaritaville, the Hard Rock Cafe, and swimming. As a bonus, we got to stay at the hotel one night for free due to rowdy neighbors. Ahhh, I remember those days.

The highlight of the whole weekend was watching my McKenna ride the Pirate Ride (it's like Cedar Point's Ocean Motion.) She sat in the very back and held her hands up just like Daddy! I had to remind myself she's only four.

I am so glad we got to spend Easter together, on vacation. This was the first family vacation that we have ever took!
